In this class, you will learn what it takes to fully produce a video from start to finish, in the style of the current social media and online shorts and podcasts! You will film about 3-4 assigned videos using a variety of topics and filming techniques to get the job done! Projects will be shared via link 1-2 weeks after the last day of class!

This class explores all aspects of the ocean, including marine biology, ocean recreation, beach safety, and physical oceanography. Nine of the fourteen class meetings will be spent on field trips, including an Ocean Wildlife Cruise in Dana Point, paddleboarding at Pirate Coast Paddle Company, a visit to the Aquarium of the Pacific, and beach days. Most field trip days are extended to 1:15 p.m.

Engage and learn the foundational skills of racket ball and paddle (ping pong & pickleball) sports. Students will learn basic strokes including forehand, backhand, volley, and serve. More advanced skills like how to put a spin on the ball, and good offensive and defensive strategies during matches will also be covered. Do you love science? In this hands-on class, students will partake in many hands-on experiments that cover Biology, Chemistry, Earth Science, Astronomy and Physics! They will also keep a lab notebook to record all their experiments and discoveries. All students will receive a take home, customized lab coat.

Books, Cooks & Crafts is a literary and hands-on learning experience that brings stories to life through reading, cooking, and crafting! Students will explore story elements, word recognition, phonics, and writing while diving into the magical world of books. Throughout this class, students will enjoy themed treats and engaging craft projects inspired by our readings. In addition to basic cooking skills, students will develop fine motor skills through simple crafts such as weaving, string art, and creating small handmade projects. Not recommended for students with severe food allergies.

Students will receive comprehensive English language support and structured, engaging activities in subjects such as reading, math, science and art. Through a combination of individual and group activities, students will have the opportunity to practice and enhance their English fluency and proficiency in a supporting and immersive environment. The class aims to build confidence in using English in both academic and everyday concepts, preparing students for greater success in their future studies. Instruction and activities will be tailored to address the varied proficiency levels of participants. This class is not intended for native (fluent) English speakers.

Develop mastery of select Next Generation Science Standards through this well-rounded STEAM class. Students will be exposed to several forms of programming language, Maker Labs, experiments, construction (and deconstruction!), and innovation. Use Scratch to recreate scenes from movies and books and learn how changing code can alter games and animations. Deconstruct mechanical and electric toys, and make things using conductors, batteries, LEDs, cardboard, motors, solar panels, and more. Students will reflect on their growth through a digital journal on Google Drive.

This camp invites young artists to explore the rich folklore and fantasy of Japan, using watercolor and acrylic to bring their visions to life. Campers will create stunning illustrations of their characters journeying to a distant spirit temple, immersing themselves in the mystical landscapes and ancient traditions of Japan. They’ll design unique characters who befriend Yokai (Japanese spirits), bringing these mythical creatures to life through detailed pencil sketches and vibrant watercolors. With a focus on creativity, campers will also design food-centric props where the food itself becomes the star of the artwork, blending imagination with cultural inspiration. Lastly, campers will bring to life their own spirit world within the forest, designing ethereal spirits that dwell in the deep, enchanted woods. Engage and learn the foundational skills of racket ball and paddle (ping pong & pickleball) sports. Students will learn basic strokes including forehand, backhand, volley, and serve. More advanced skills like how to put a spin on the ball, and good offensive and defensive strategies during matches will also be covered. Students will play a variety of fun games and matches all while using the skills they learn. Practice good sportsmanship and how to be a team player, along with learning the rules and proper scorekeeping. All ability levels are welcome and every student will be sure to have fun!

Each story is accompanied by an interdisciplinary unit covering essential skills in comprehension, vocabulary, math, science, and engineering. This class is designed to empower students to embrace a health-centered lifestyle through the practice of positive mind-body exercises and social-emotional wellness activities. Students will strengthen their social-emotional and self-regulation skills using guided mindfulness activities, controlled breathing techniques, yoga stretches, nutrition discussions, creative art projects, and fun core-cardio challenges. This class aims to strengthen the mind and the body by incorporating flexibility, strength, and focused breathwork. Students will learn the importance of teamwork, accountability, goal setting, and building friendships. Classes are centered around patience, positivity, peace, gratitude, kindness, and mutual respect. Please bring a yoga mat to class on the first day which can be stored for the entire session.

This hands on class builds confidence through essential job readiness and real-world life skills. Students will learn how to create a standout résumé in Canva, prepare for and practice interview situations, improve communication skills, and explore budgeting and money management in a friendly, approachable way.

Does your child like to create and use their imagination? Future engineers will be inspired in this hands-on building camp from Child Creativity Lab. Children will use unconventional recycled materials to build their own minicarnival projects each day: race down a roller coaster, soar with a mini sky ride, create an amazing fun house maze, launch a catapult ball throw game. Students will learn how to innovate and think outside of the box as they explore the exciting world of STEAM (STEM + Art) with lessons ranging from engineering to physics to design—reuse, renew and re-imagine as they learn to problem solve and look at materials in a whole new way.

Animal Kingdom: Secrets of Mythos invites artists (ages 12-18) into a world of mythical creatures and fantasy through both digital and traditional art! In the digital realm, campers will use ProCreate to design floating islands, underwater legends, guardian spirits, legendary sky creatures, and a phoenix rising from a ruined temple. In evening sessions, they’ll switch to traditional mediums to paint noble creatures, wild forest animals, whimsical scenes like a pigeon on its day off, and epic quests like Journey of the Crabs and A Fox’s Camping Trip. This camp combines mythology, animals, and art, giving you the tools to create stunning, imaginative worlds!
